Kitchens, bathrooms and floors taken back to the surface

We deep clean homes and business premises across Birmingham and the West Midlands, from shared houses in Selly Oak and family homes in Harborne to large detached properties in Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. The job is planned around what a routine clean leaves behind: the oven and extractor, the grout and sealant, the tops of doors and the backs of radiators.

Most households book one once or twice a year, or before a sale, a new let or a move in. It is quoted per property, usually from photos, and the price is agreed before we start.

What a deep clean covers

We work from the top of each room down, dry work first, so dust falls onto a floor that is cleaned last. Furniture and appliances are moved where that can be done safely.

A typical deep clean includes:

  • Kitchen: oven, hob, extractor and filter, cupboard fronts and insides where empty, worktops and tiles
  • Bathrooms: tiles and grout scrubbed, sealant cleaned, taps, shower heads and screens descaled
  • Skirting boards, door frames, tops of doors and radiators wiped by hand
  • Behind and under furniture and appliances that can be moved safely
  • Built-up grease, limescale and soap residue taken back to the surface
  • Switches, handles, bannisters and other hand contact points

When a deep clean is the right booking

A regular clean holds a house at the standard it is already at. A deep clean is what gets it there, and it is the right booking when:

  • The house is being sold, let or moved into, and every room will be looked at closely
  • Building or decorating work has left fine dust on every ledge and inside the cupboards
  • The bathroom has mould in the sealant or scale on the screen that wiping no longer shifts
  • A regular cleaning slot is about to start and needs a clean baseline to hold

If a weekly or fortnightly visit follows, the deep clean sets the standard those visits keep.

Homes, lets and small premises

We deep clean:

  • Terraces, semis and larger detached houses
  • Small offices, shops, salons and surgeries, from an 8am start
  • Rented houses and flats before a sale or a new let
  • Properties after building work, once the trades have left
  • One-off cleans before a family occasion, or a spring reset

We look at the property, or photos of it, before we quote, and the price reflects what it needs.

How we do it

  1. 01We look at the property firstEither in person or from photos you send over on WhatsApp. A deep clean is quoted per property on its size and condition, not by a flat rate, so we need to see it, or photos of it, before we give you a firm number.
  2. 02Top down, dry work firstCobwebs, light fittings, tops of doors and wardrobes, then dusting down through the room. Doing this before anything wet means the dislodged dust ends up on the floor and gets removed rather than smeared onto a wet surface.
  3. 03Kitchen and bathroom degrease and sanitiseThe two rooms that make or break a deep clean. Oven interior, hob, extractor and filter, cupboard fronts, and interiors where they are emptied, worktops, sinks and taps in the kitchen; grout, sealant, shower screens, tiles and fixtures in the bathroom.
  4. 04Detail work on the things people skipSkirting boards, door frames, switches, handles, radiators, window sills, bannisters and internal glass. This is where a deep clean visibly differs from a regular one.
  5. 05Floors lastVacuumed, then mopped or machine-cleaned depending on the surface. Carpets can be hot-water extracted at the same visit if you want them included.
  6. 06We walk it with youYou check the work before we leave. If you give us a key or code, you need not be in, and we lock up when we finish.

What sets the price of deep cleaning

A deep clean is quoted per property, usually from photos you send over, on its size and its current condition. We do not work to a fixed hourly rate, because the hours depend on what we are walking into. A three-bedroom house that has been maintained reasonably well is a very different job from the same house after two years of no proper cleaning, and it would be dishonest to price them the same.

The things that move the price are: the number of bathrooms and how much mould is in the grout and sealant, the state of the oven and extractor, whether carpets need hot-water extraction as well, and whether furniture needs moving. Send us a few photos on WhatsApp and we will give you a fixed price rather than an estimate that changes on the day.

How often deep cleaning is needed

Most households benefit from a deep clean once or twice a year alongside regular cleaning, typically in spring and before Christmas. Shared houses and rentals generally need one at every tenancy change. Business premises with kitchens or high footfall usually want one quarterly.

Frequently asked questions

A regular clean maintains a property that is already clean: surfaces, floors, bathrooms, a quick kitchen. A deep clean goes after what routine cleaning never reaches: inside the oven and extractor, grout and sealant, behind appliances, skirting boards, door frames, light fittings and high surfaces. It takes several times as long, because it reaches the places a routine visit never touches.

Typically five to eight hours on site, depending on condition. A property that has not been deep cleaned in years, or a shared house with a heavily used kitchen, can take a full day. We give you an estimated time along with the price before we start.

No. If you give us a key or code, you need not be in, and we lock up when we finish. You are equally welcome to stay, whichever you prefer.

Yes, the oven interior, racks, door glass, hob, extractor hood and the extractor filter are all part of a deep clean as standard, not an added extra.

Usually a substantial improvement, and often completely. Where mould has grown through old silicone sealant rather than sitting on it, cleaning will lighten it but the sealant needs replacing to fully fix it: we will tell you which one you are dealing with.

We arrive with everything: products, cloths and equipment. If anyone in the property has sensitivities, or you have pets, tell us when you book and we bring milder, fragrance-free alternatives.

It depends which supply you are on. Birmingham city is on soft Elan Valley water, so scale is rarely the issue there and grease, soap scum and mould in grout are the real work. Sutton Coldfield, Boldmere, West Bromwich, Smethwick, Bearwood, Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Blackheath, Cradley Heath, Tipton, Halesowen and Stourbridge are on South Staffs Water, which is hard, so descaling taps, shower screens and showerheads is part of a deep clean there.
