Domestic cleaning is the service that runs on a rhythm. It is a booked slot in your home, so there is nothing to arrange each time you need it: the same day and the same agreed list, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
We are based in Selly Oak, with Selly Park, Bournville and Stirchley on the doorstep and Harborne, Cotteridge, Kings Heath and Northfield ten to fifteen minutes away, and we also cover Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Bearwood and Halesowen. Birmingham housing changes what a visit actually involves. A Victorian terrace with a tiled hall and a steep narrow staircase takes different time from a 1930s semi with a deep bay and wide sills, and a one-bathroom converted flat is not the same job as a four-bedroom house with two bathrooms and an en suite.
It suits households that want the routine handled: kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting and the surfaces that need attention weekly rather than annually. It also suits a landlord with a single let who wants the property kept in order between inspections.
A regular clean is a maintenance visit. It holds a property at the standard it is already at, working to a fixed list so nothing is missed and nothing is a surprise. The full list is set out under what’s included, further down this page.
What it does not cover as standard: the inside of the oven, the inside of cupboards, behind heavy appliances, mould grown into old grout and sealant, and anything that needs a room emptying first. Those belong to a deep clean, and we point that out instead of spreading them thinly across visits that were never long enough to hold them.
Plan for the first clean to run noticeably longer, and to be charged for longer. It is doing catch-up work as well as cleaning, and it sets the baseline that every later visit only has to maintain.
If the house has got away from you, a regular clean will not recover it. Book a deep clean first and put the regular slot behind it, so each regular visit starts from a clean baseline.
If you give us a key or code, you need not be in. What matters is that access is agreed in writing before the first visit rather than improvised at the door.
We lock up and confirm we have been. If we cannot get in on the day, we call you before we leave rather than afterwards.
Three of the areas nearest to us, each with its own page for domestic cleaning and the housing there.
Regular cleaning for the owner-occupied family houses towards Selly Park and for the newer flats around Battery Retail Park.
The core of our Selly Park work, regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly cleaning for family homes.
Weekly or fortnightly cleaning in the two-up two-down terraces and the new flats, where a small floor plan keeps a regular visit quick.
If your property is somewhere else in Birmingham or the West Midlands, we almost certainly cover it. See all the areas we serve.
A regular clean is quoted per property, from photos or a look round, as a fixed per-visit price that stays the same each visit so you can budget for it. What moves the number is the count of bathrooms, the number of floors and how much staircase there is, whether there are pets, how much of the house is in daily use, and how much has to be moved before a surface can be cleaned. A house with clear worktops cleans faster than the same house with everything out on them, which is not a criticism, it is simply time.
Two notes before you book. A fortnightly visit costs more per visit than a weekly one, because it has a fortnight of use to undo instead of a week. And the first visit is normally charged for longer than the rest, because it is doing catch-up work that later visits only have to maintain. You will hear both from us up front, before the first visit.
Fortnightly suits most homes and works well if you keep the kitchen and bathroom going yourself between visits. Weekly suits families, pets, a lot of home working, and anyone who finds the house no longer feels done by day ten. Monthly works for a lightly used property, or a single let being kept in order between inspections.
There is a limit to what any frequency fixes. A regular clean maintains a standard, it does not recover one. If the property has drifted well past where you want it, book a deep clean first and put the regular slot behind it to hold the result. That is faster and cheaper than paying a maintenance cleaner to do restoration work in instalments.

Good to know
A regular clean maintains a home that is already at the standard you want: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, surfaces. A deep clean goes after what a maintenance visit never has the hours for, such as the oven interior, inside cupboards, behind appliances, grout and sealant and high surfaces. If the house has got away from you, book the deep clean first and put the regular slot behind it.
Fortnightly for most homes, particularly if you handle the kitchen and bathroom yourself in between. Weekly if there are children, pets, a lot of home working, or if the house stops feeling clean well before the next visit is due. You can move between the two, there is no minimum term.
Because it is doing catch-up as well as cleaning. The first clean sets the baseline that every later visit maintains, so it usually runs longer and is charged for longer. From the second visit onwards the time settles and stays consistent.
No. A key, a key safe or a door code is enough, and we lock up and confirm we have been. You are equally welcome to be in. Tell us if someone sleeps during the day after a night shift and we will work around that room and leave the noisy jobs for last.
If you give us a key or code, you need not be in. A key is labelled with a job reference rather than your address, so a lost key cannot be matched to a house, and it comes back whenever you ask. Alarm codes are recorded with the job file, never written on the key or the fob.
Not at all. Tell us their names, where they usually settle, and whether they should be shut in a particular room while we work. Tell us when we look round if anyone in the household reacts to particular products and we will bring alternatives.
Our own, everything including the vacuum. If you would rather we used your machine or your own products, that works too, and it is worth raising when we look round if a particular floor finish needs a specific product.
The hob, the door glass and the front, yes. The oven interior is a deep clean or end of tenancy job: it takes an hour or more on its own and it would swallow a regular visit. It can be booked separately whenever you want it done.
That is end of tenancy cleaning rather than domestic cleaning, and it is a different specification worked against the inventory, with the oven, appliances, cupboard interiors and often the carpets included. If you then want the property kept in order once it is let, the regular slot can start after the changeover.
Each of these areas has its own domestic cleaning page, covering the housing there, how we get to it and the questions people in that area ask.
